CTRWA is dedicated to supporting the efforts of those seeking a professional career in romance writing by providing information, networking and education.
The Connecticut Chapter of Romance Writers of America Inc. (CTRWA) is a local chapter of Romance Writers of America, an international organization of almost 9,000 members. Established in 1981, incorporated in 1986, CTRWA is a nonprofit organization of women and men — published and unpublished — dedicated to writing, learning about the publishing industry and supporting each other’s endeavors. We have authors published in many genres including: romance, mystery, historical, paranormal, and even non-fiction. You don’t have to write in the romance genre to join or to benefit from the many multi-published authors of CTRWA.
CTRWA meets on the second Saturday of every month at 11:00 a.m.
Our meetings are held at the Holiday Inn in North Haven, CT (exit 12 off of Interstate 91). Lunch is $10 for CTRWA members who RSVP in advance; $16 for nonmembers. Brown-bagging is more than welcome. A critique group begins at 9:30; chapter meeting begins at 11:00, followed by craft corner, Ask A Published Author, lunch and speaker at 12:45. Many times, we have a hands-on workshop or informal gathering afterward.
All writers are welcome, published or unpublished in any genre. Come to a free meeting to check us out.
Published and non-published writers from all genres are welcome. Non-members can attend two times for free to check our fabulous group!
